Funko ReAction Lo Pan and The Three Storms

Funko's ReAction line is a perfect example to modernizing something so classic. Their ReAction figures are based on various pop-culture references, much like their other popular toy line Pop! However, these toys are made with a simple process and style normally seen on Kenner toys from the 1970s and 1980s. Recently, ReAction introduced a new line of toys based on the 80s cult-classic film, Big Trouble in Little China. The characters featured here, are the film's main villains, Lo Pan and The Three Storms.

Sharknado is an over the top B-rated movie, where the name itself is probably more popular than the story. Although the movie contained cheesy dialogue and hilarious CGI effects, this film certainly became a trend. One day, Funko included this concept into their Pop! vinyl figure line, releasing only one toy.

The thought of Playmates still producing TMNT figures to this day, is certainly admiring. In more than a decade later, Playmates still upholds their services by creating a separate line of TMNT figures inspired by the latest movie. I can't say I'm anticipating this flick, nor am I willing to go see it, unless someone dragged me into it. However, this particular figure was compelling enough to buy. Bear in mind, this review was made before viewing the movie, so there may be some faulty assumptions about the on-screen character based on what's presented on this toy.
