Toho Large Monster Series: DESTROY ALL Completion Set Vol. 1 (Manda Second Generation, Mothra Larva) Review

X-Plus made their point clear that they do intend to complete the “Destroy All Monsters” cast of daikaiju through the Toho Large Monster Series line. The recent release of Manda and Mothra (larva) figure are two steps closer to the goal.

Mothra (Heisei) 3D paper model available on Tektonten Papercraft

Tektonten Papercraft has posted another fun 3D paper model to build. Sticking with the Heisei theme, modelers can build Mothra in her adult and larval stage together. The two models also come with a display base and flight stand for adult Mothra. The model is available here.

Bandai HG Mothra (2004) Review

Closing the Mini Kaiju Spotlight is one of the most popular opponents of Godzilla. Portrayed as a god of Infant Island, guardian, or messenger of Mother Earth, Mothra is a household name next to Godzilla. The figure reviewed here is based on Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S., and was included in Bandai's Godzilla High Grade 10 set.

S.H. MonsterArts Battra & Mothra (Larva) Review

Before Tamashii Nation's announcement of SHMA Godzilla 2014, the Battra & Mothra web exclusive set was certainly my most anticipated figure releases this year. I found the larval stages of these Daikaiju more interesting then their evolved adult forms. The reason is Ghidorah: The Three Headed Monster was the first Godzilla film I watched when I was a kid, and I've been fond of those pre-evolved forms ever since. Battra & Mothra are the second web exclusive set of 2014. Both daikaiju were featured in Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992).

X-Plus Diamond Reissue Mothra (Larva) 1961 Review

Mothra is one out of two figures released in Diamond's (X-Plus) Wave 4, the other being Godzilla 2003. Big thanks to John Stanowski and Flossie's Gifts and Collectibles for giving me another chance to buy this figure in time for the first production run.

X-Plus Mothra (Rodan 1962 25 cm Ric Boy) Review

I briefly wrote about an unknown Mothra (larva) model, which has been in my collection for a while now. This time, I want to cover this figure that was manufactured by X-Plus. Mothra was included with Rodan 1962 (25 cm) as a Ric Boy Exclusive. Although Mothra and Rodan are sold together, this figure was listed up for sale loose and a standalone.

Tamashii Nations has shocked the collectors' world when they announced that the S.H. MonsterArts line will now include Godzilla 1964 as their first articulated Showa figure produced. With such good news still buzzing around the discussion threads, I feel that doing this review seems appropriate. Today, I will review, CCP's Mothra Vs Godzilla figure (actual name of the figure).

Bandai Heisei Mothra Larva Review

Growing up, I was always fond of the baby version of Mothra instead of the adult form ever since I saw Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster at a young age. That movie was the earliest flick that I remember, so the larva has a certain nostalgic value to me. Naturally, Godzilla vs Mothra is one of my favorite flicks from the Heisei Era, and owning the Larval stage of Mothra was inevitable.

Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. ranks as one of my top 3 Godzilla movies from the Millennium Era. I thought the movie was fun and entertaining. To my standards, the fight scenes from the monsters definitely makes up for whatever lacked in the story line. At this point in time, releasing Godzilla figures around the same time of a movie premiere was the norm. Therefore without any further ado, I present to you, Bandai's Mothra Larva B (2003).
