Kabaya's Fortress Maximus DX Sky Base + Power Glide Quick Review

The third base included in Box #3 is the Sky Base, which comes with Power Glider. Once again, I will just quickly go over what the third base is about and the gimmick it features as a standalone piece.

The Sky Base has one pair of mounted guns that fold up and down and a blue ramp that also folds on the side of the tower. Fortress Maximus' red sword pegs on the back of the tower.


One cool gimmick is the spring loaded launcher located at the top of Power Glider's runway. To operate the mechanism, push the protruding section all the way back, then pull the switch.

For anyone who does not prefer Partsformers will not like how Power Glider changes from plane to robot mode, which involves unplugging wings and plugging them back in differently. Powerglide's articulation is only limited to his arms, which rotates 360 degrees.

Overall, an easier build than the Launcher Base and the spring loaded gimmick adds more fun to this set. For the next review, all three bases will finally come together into the Fortress Maximus we know. Look forward to Fortress Maximus (Final) Review!
