Just yesterday, I was flipping through the channels, when I stumbled upon Teen Nick's "90's Are All That." For those who don't know, the "90's Are All That," is a segment for viewers, who grew up in the 90's, like me. There is a line-up of nostalgic shows that were a hit in the 90's such as "All That (original)," "Salute Your Shorts," "Kenan and Kel," and much more.
Teen Nick has been airing nostalgic game shows this past weekend, which automatically got me strolling through memory lane. For example, the original "Figure It Out," with host Summer Sanders gave away Nintendo 64 consoles and video games to contestants that stumped the panel in any one out of the three rounds.

Does anyone remember the N 64 and how popular that gaming system was besides the Playstation? There were also a lot of other retro prizes given away like props from previous Nickelodean shows, Toys R Us Jeffrey dollars (are these things still circulated in stores?), and old model bicycles. On top of that I had the pleasure to re-watch "Legends of the Hidden Temple" and "Family Double-Dare." Words cannot describe how much fun I had to see these game shows on air again.
In conclusion, I think there is nothing wrong with feeling nostalgic once in a while because they remind us of a time when we never had to worry about working a full/part-time job to stay afloat, paying bills on time, or properly managing your money. Instead, you immediately appreciate the fun you had with your toys, TV shows, field trips, sports, pets, friends, and family. Thank you Teen Nick for bringing back some great memories!
