First Look at Bake-Kujira in Sofubi Form

In the previous updates on The Rave Corner, we've seen Bake-Kujira's iron mold and vinyl castings of the Kaiju's head. This time, the sofubi's designer, Candie Bolton, has provided a picture of the assembled and unpainted casting of Bake-Kujira.

A custom painted set of pokemon finger puppet toys will go on sale next week (6/22/16)! They will be priced at $25 and under.  Once an order is placed, the buyer will have the selection arranged so that he or she can pick the desired pokemon.

A custom painted Mothra sofubi will be featured at a group show at Q Pop Shop. The figure is casted out of sparkly purple vinyl and has been painted with Monster Kolor and acrylics.

Kesagake & REVENGE 1-off Set Appearing at Kaiju Battlers!

A special 1-off set of Kesagake & REVENGE will be at the Kaiju Battlers Exhibition that is hosted by Clutter Magazine. Both sofubi are designed and manufactured by RAMPAGE TOYS, however, this particular set includes a collaboration with Galaxy People. RAMPAGE TOYS custom painted Kesagake, while Galaxy People painted REVENGE with a tiger-themed paint job.

2Petalrose’s Shogun Rebels – HONDO Is Nearly Complete!

2Petalrose’s latest project certainly has many fascinated and interested. Fresh off the success of Shikomi:  The Little Samurai Girl, the latest toy in progress is Shogun Rebels – HONDO. The images certainly speak for themselves, as the apparel looks stunning in detail, including Hondo’s samurai helmet. The toy will come with other accessories as well, including its own sword.

Three Sets of Elder Demons Toys by DeathcatToys Available Now

Candie Bolton has collaborated with DeathcatToys to offer three sets of their Elder Demons soft vinyl puppets through Candie Bolton’s website. As part of the project, Candie Bolton has provided her own custom paint job on these toys.

RAMPAGE x KONATSUYA Dai-Negora Appearing at FEWMANY show

The popular Dai-Negora sofubi is coming back once again and this time the custom paint job was done by RAMPAGE TOYS. A glimpse of the final product was posted on Instagram and the figure looks amazing. RAMPAGE x KONATSUYA Dai-Negora will appear at the FEWMANY show this Friday (January 29, 2016) in the Marui Annex Building in Shinjuku. Supplies are limited.

Small Run of Kesagake Sofubi Appearing at 'FEWMANY' Show

A small run of Kesagake sofubi will appear in a show hosted by FEWMANY this Friday (1/29/16) at Marui Annex Building in Shinjuku. This variant is exquisite, as the figure was painted with flat-based paint this time, and the positive result clearly shines on this piece. The color selection is phenomenal and they certainly complement all details of Kesagake. All event goers should consider owning this awesome figure!

A pair of Kazumouse sofubi from TOUMA that was painted by Candie Bolton will be available tomorrow (12/29) at her website for all to collect.

TRU:TEK Oozeball - CHEEZY MOON up for preoder at RAMPAGE webshop

RAMPAGE TOYS has listed Cheesy Moon up for Preorder on the webshop. Cheesy Moon is stated to be one of Oozeball’s last run, as production of this mold will eventually end for a long period of time.

‘Bake-Kujira: The Phantom Whale’ by Candie Bolton and Toy Art Gallery Coming in 2016!

Candie Bolton’s latest sofubi design is a brilliant take of a mythical Japanese ghost, named “Bake-Kujira The Phantom Wale.” According to the legend, a Bake-kujira is primarily a skeletal ghost of a whale that has been hunted and killed by humans. Some stories have also said that the unrested spirit was accompanied by unusual hosts of fish and birds. The sight of a Bake-kujira in the sea brings a curse to the person that spotted the spirit in the form of famine, plague, fires, and other kinds of harm.

In this design, Candie has made the folklore the star by featuring what seems to be the ghost of a narwhale, while including other physical elements of the mythology in between. Bake-Kujira was sculpted by macsorro and will be produced into a sofubi by Toy Art Gallery. The sofubi will be 11 inches tall and will be released sometime in the early half 2016.

One-off Custom Biter Fish Sofubi by Candie Bolton Coming this Sunday!

Paul Kaiju's renowned Biter Fish sofubi, which has generated a lot of positive buzz at this year’s DCON 2015, will be available once again in another variant, but for a limited time only. The most recent version will be provided by talented artist Candie Bolton, who has personally painted this figure herself.

“My one-off custom Biter Fish sofubi from Paul Kaiju will be available at www.candiebolton.com this Sunday at 6:00pm PST. Soft vinyl painted with Monster Kolor and gouache with a sparkly and glossy clear coat.”

'CHEEZY MOON' coming to RAMPAGE webshop

RAMPAGE TOYS is bringing back The Disarticulators' famous Oozeball sofubi for another great variation. This time Oozeball will be predominantly yellow and referred as "CHEEZY MOON." Collectors, who haven't owned this collectible item, may want to obtain this figure as RAMPAGE TOYS stated that Oozeball will be retired after this release.

RAMPAGE TOYS wrote the following post in Instagram:

"jmrampageComing soon to the RAMPAGE webshop - 'CHEEZY MOON' squeeky squishy Oozeballs! This will be an open pre-order for this FINAL squeeky blank version of the @trutek Oozeball. We will be doing paint on some yellow ones in the future, and on non-squishy figures as well, but this is basically the final hurrah for this figure that has become a proven neo-classic since its release last year. From here on, @trutek will be moving in the direction of his @goryhole series.

Once I get the pre-order details sorted and loaded into the RAMPAGE webstore, I will post here. The order will be open through the New Year's festivities for all your post holiday shipping pleasure.
