When I'm in LA, I must go to Korea Town and Little Tokyo!

Koreatown Plaza

This past Saturday, I took a 4 1/2 hour road trip to Los Angeles from Las Vegas. My group and I planned to visit two specific stores: one in Korea Town and the other in Little Tokyo before attending SM Town Live III in the Honda Center. From my past experience, I concluded that I must always visit Music Plaza and Anime Jungle whenever I'm in LA!

I need more SNSD!

SM Town Live (after the show)
May 20, 2012 was certainly great day to kick off the summer of all K-Pop fans, who attended SM Town Live World Tour III in Los Angeles. The show started a little past 7 PM and ended around 10:45 PM. On top of that MBC was also present to record and edit this concert to air in South Korea soon with Leeteuk, Taeyeon, and Tiffany as the main emcees! The bad news about all these factors tied together was there were NO CAMERAS OF ANY KIND allowed before and during the show, probably because this concert was meant to be exclusive? I'm not sure. The usher stood close to my seat so there was no way I could sneak a shot during the show, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were some photos or videos leaked online somewhere. The good news though was there were thousands of glow/light sticks (in various colors) seen amongst the crowd, including me. Bobbing your light/glow stick to music is the best part of the experience.

Toy Shack feels like a trip to a toy museum

Since I'm in Vegas, I had to pay a visit to Toy Shack located in Fremont Street Experience. You may be familiar with the owner, Johnny Jimenez, who would often appear in History Channel's Pawn Stars to appraise vintage toys being sold in the pawn shop. Unfortunately, Johnny wasn't here today, but that didn't damper my trip to his store.

Starting Off My Summer

Hello ravers! I haven't done some figure reviews or posted anything new lately because I am currently on vacation in Las Vegas. My group and I will take a road trip this weekend to LA and visit Korea Town and Little Tokyo in hopes to buy more K-Pop and Kaiju related goodies. Then, head over to Anaheim to attend SM Town Live in the Honda Center! I plan to take as many pictures as I can then write about it. I'd like to apologize beforehand if the quality of the pictures don't live up to your standards. Hopefully, I can afford a better camera later, preferably before The Rave Corner's 1st year anniversary. Until then, enjoy your summer!

Banpresto Master Roshi (2008) Figure Review

Greetings to all raving viewers out there! For those who are in college, I wish you all good luck during your finals week. If you finished all of your exams/projects already, I hope you're enjoying the start of your summer. I'm taking a short break from reviewing Kaiju figures again to write about a figure I bought recently: Banpresto's Master Roshi.

S.H. MonsterArts SpaceGodzilla Figure Revew

SpaceGodzilla is one of those monsters that receives a pretty good fan base, despite his underrated appearance in Godzilla Vs SpaceGodzilla, which was deemed as perhaps the weakest entry in the Heisei Series. This review is a little more special to me because S.H. MonsterArts SpaceGodzilla happens to be the first Kaiju toy I bought upon it's debut. I have never owned a standard Bandai SpaceGodzilla before because I thought while the toy overall looks okay, there were some features that could've been readjusted. When S.H. MonsterArts announced their release of this monster that is completely redesigned with 29 points of articulation, I had to buy him ASAP. However, did S.H. MonsterArts live up to the hype? Review START!
