A Little Refresher on Asian music~

Greetings Ravers! BlueMenpachi here joining in on My Fave Rave with Aaron and Wimplo.

For my first rave, I decided to take a step back and re-ignite my passion with Asian music.
After seeing Kara's MV "Step" and Big Bang's MV "Fantastic Baby" I felt as if the KPop industry is becoming SO materialistic.
With all of the glitz and glam of KPop and JPop, with their good looks, flashy clothes and catchy lyrics, I felt like I was losing sight of what real music was.
I'm not saying that 2NE1 or See-Saw doesn't sing good music.
I'm a huge fan of Asian music and I love almost any Japanese, Korean or Chinese song I hear.
But after all the high pitches and repetitive lyrics of love, happiness or heartbreak; or the constant monotone raps and the WUB WUB WUB and UNTS UNTS UNTS in the new age Asian music, I needed a break...

S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla (Heisei) Figure Review

Hello Ravers! For those who collect figures from the S.H. MonsterArts line or have observed these new toys since their debut knows that Space Godzilla should be released through American online dealers soon. How soon you may ask? I'm not sure. The release date have been pushed back to April 2012 (update: 4/19 for those who pre-ordered from Monster Planet Toys), which leaves me feeling a little more anxious every day. I know some consumers received their figures on time because they pre-ordered their items from Japan or elsewhere outside of USA. For now, I'll review S.H. MonsterArts very first toy release: Godzilla (Heisei) as I wait.

Bandai: 2005 GFW Anguirus Figure Review

Anguirus has always been one of my favorite monsters, about second place and Godzilla being first. For those wondering, why would I favor a monster that has no special power and an unimpressive win/loss record compared to other popular ones? One reason is I grew attached to Godzilla and Anguirus since I was into dinosaurs as a small child. Second, even though Anguirus lacked powers, he never backed down from a fight. This guy fought till he was knocked out, severely injured, or dead. For those wondering which version (Showa or Millennium) of Anguirus do I prefer? I honestly like both versions for different reasons. Showa Anguirus had a lot more memorable moments in his hey day and my most favorite role of his was in Destroy All Monsters. However, Millennium Anguirus happens to possess the best ability, which is curling himself into a ball as he propels forward. Well anyway, I always wanted this version, but chose not to own one sooner because I already have the reissued Anguirus '05 (pink tag) and my focus was placed on other desirable figures. Okay with that out of the way, let's move on to the review!
