In an unprecedented move, Tamashii Nations announced that a new repaint of Godzilla 2000, which was released this past May. This new repaint is inspired by Godzilla’s illustration that was used in the poster art of Godzilla Final Wars.
Godzilla 2000 Millennium Special Color Edition
This reissue offers the same level of details as the original Godzilla 2000 figure, which was based on Yuji Sakai's maquette version and not the actual (movie) suit. The figure has the same menacing face sculpt, which is one of the main highlights of this piece. The glare is very distinct and those teeth are nicely crafted. This figure also boasts the same jagged skin texture, claws, toes, and fin shapes.
The joints were just as snug and sturdy as ever. Godzilla was able to execute the same level of poses as the original version.
What does separate the reissue from the original variant is the choice of colors. The reissue has darker skin, light grey fins, and yellow claws and toes that fade into brown and dark grey paint. The eyes have yellow scleras, red irises, and black pupils. The figure also has tan highlights that were airbrushed on the neck, chest, shoulders, arms, legs, knees, and tail.

Conclusion
This figure is perfect for collectors, who missed their shot at the original toy. The quality remains and the new paint job adds a refreshing take to an already great figure. Not to mention, the articulation delivers the same enjoyability as the one before. Folks, who don’t have Godzilla 2000 yet, and certainly want one of their own, shouldn’t skip this one either.
